Centrify becomes a Dropbox premier partner
Thu, 5th Nov 2015
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Centrify will integrate with Dropbox on two new security initiatives after signing on as a premier partner in Dropbox's new partner network.

The elevation to premier partner in Dropbox's partner network comes on the back of Centrify's identity-as-a-service (IDaaS) offering for Dropbox for Business which provides secure, sign-on, automatic user provisioning and mobile device management.

Under the new partnership Centrify will also integrate with Dropbox on Cloud Access Security, through integrations with mutual cloud access security broker partners, and Enterprise Mobility Management.

Shreyas Sadalgi, Centrify senior vice president of business development, says the company is excited to further partner and collaborate with Dropbox in the areas of cloud and mobile security.

“We are seeing significant momentum with Dropbox in the enterprise and are proud to deliver the industry's most comprehensive IDaaS solution that goes well beyond single sign-on to also address customer's mobile security requirements.

Patrick Heim, Dropbox head of trust and security, says customer trust is ‘our highest priority.

“We are dedicated to providing leading security solutions to our customers,” Heim says.

“We have teamed up with leading security companies that provide our customers the agility to manage modern security risks. These partners balance a relentless focus on security with an exceptional commitment to ease of use."

Earlier this year Centrify told ChannelLife it was ramping up its operations in Australia and New Zealand and was on the lookout for additional partners here.

The ramp up coincided with the appointment of Lachlan McKenzie as ANZ country manager for the identity and access management vendor, which has been making moves into new market segments in recent times.

Dropbox meanwhile has been aggressively targeting the business market and recently claimed it has 150,000 business customers.
