Dell has garnered itself leader status in Forrester's latest identity management and governance report.

Dell's One Identity Manager picked up high scores across a number of categories and received the highest score possible for its partner ecosystem.

Forrester Research says identity management and governance is a growing market.

“Security professionals use these solutions to address key identity-related risks and streamline operational efficiencies by migrating away from existing inaccurate, manual and inefficient identity processes,” Forrester says.

“As this market continues to mature, improved end user interfaces, simplified and flexible administration and braoder identity analytics will dictate which providers lead the pack.

Dell's top scores came for One Identity Manager's administration; development, sales and technical support staffing; global presence, IMG partner ecosystem and IMG pricing terms and flexibility.

It also received four out of five for role management; overall solution complexity; IMG strategy and vision; IMG implementation complexity; and customer satisafaction.

John Millburn, Dell Security executive director and general manager, Identity and Access Management, says the success of identity and access management products hinges largely on ease of implementation and the level of support available to ensure successful implementation.

“When searching for products that address the challenges they face on a daily basis, customers particularly look for a solution that is not cmoplex, yet offers top notch support,” Millburn says.

“These are key characteristics that add value in their quest to keep the business running with minimal disruption to productivity.

Also making it into the leaders category in the Forester Wave Identity Management and Governance for Q2, 2016, are SailPoint and RSA, while CA Technologies, Oracle, Micro Focus (NetIQ) and Courion are named as ‘strong performers'.

IBM and SAP are listed as ‘contenders'.
