Professional video editing software developers Forbidden Technologies have inked a deal with Digistor which will see the Australian technology provider become the first local reseller for Forscene.

Forscene is a cloud-based professional video editing software for collaborative productions and remote workflows. The offerings has been used for international productions like the 2012 Olympics and The Voice.

The deal comes as Forbidden Technologies expands its traditional focus of the United States and Europe, to include Asia Pacific.

Forscene already has two resellers in Singapore.

Andrew Mooney, Digitstor managing director, says customers are increasingly looking to cloud-based editing, post-production, storage, compute and distribution solutions in order to satisfy the escalating demand for content creation and distribution in ever more formats on tighter budgets.

“Forscene is an important piece in this puzzle for Digistor,” Mooney says.

“There is no doubt there is demand for Forscene in the Australia and New Zealand market where customers are keen to innovate.

Forscene allows video producers to access centralised material from a web browser or app on any device and collaborate fro anywhere in the world, using a full range of post-production tools.

The company claims it is the only unified platform offering review, logging, editing and publishing entirely in the cloud.
