FYI, this story is more than a year old

HP has announced a big refresh of its enterprise computing portfolio, with a new ultrabook as well as upgraded notebooks, desktops and displays all on their way in the second half of 2012.

At 19mm thick, just over 1.63 kilos, and with a 14-inch screen, the EliteBook Folio 9470m (pictured) offers a full array of ports and connectivity options as well as the option of a second battery for extended run time.

Described in the marketing material as ‘HP’s first no-compromise ultrabook for business users’, the yet-to-be-priced model will be available in October.

Businesses that don’t want to wait til the Spring can still select from an upgraded EliteBook and ProBook range coming in June and July. These include the company’s smallest and lightest notebook, the EliteBook 2170p, the larger EliteBook 2570p (both unpriced), the premier EliteBook 8470p and 8570p, starting at $1795, the new, configurable b-series starting at $1295, and the redesigned s-series starting at $1045 (all prices excluding GST).

For desktop users, HP will offer the Compaq Pro 4300 All-in-One and Compaq Pro 4300 ‘Small Form Factor’, starting at $1199 and $899 respectively, in July, as well as new versions of its 6300 and 8300 series, starting at $1199 and $1099 respectively, in June.

Finally, HP will also add the Compaq L2206tm monitor with optical touch performance in June, as well as the Compaq LA2405x monitor later this month. These will sell for $499 and $435 respectively.
