ASUS has today announced the appointment of Portia Chang to the role of Regional Head of ASUS’ System Business Group, managing the ASUS System Businesses across New Zealand and Australia.

A veteran employee of ASUS, Chang brings more than ten years of experience driving consumer technology business.

Since 2004, she has held key roles in sales, business development and leadership within ASUS’ organisations across Europe.

Most recently, Chang held the role of Managing Director for ASUS Benelux, based in the Netherlands - preceded by several years spent with ASUS in the United Kingdom, Hungary and the Nordic countries.

“Portia has had great success leading our business in European markets over the past few years,” says Eric Chen, Vice President of ASUS’ global operation.

“Her expertise, combined with the strong foundation established by the current team, will enable the future growth of ASUS in the New Zealand market.”

“Innovation has seen ASUS develop as one of the world’s top three consumer PC and tablet brands," Chang adds.

"Our solid market position provides a great base for us to springboard from in 2014. I look forward to growing our brand and market share in New Zealand."

Chang’s appointment is effective immediately and she will be based in ASUS’ Sydney head office. Vivian Hung, the departing Regional Head, will remain with the company, taking a new role in ASUS’ Taipei based headquarters.
