Distribution Central has launched a new version of its online Avaya configurator for resellers, adding an online ordering and payment gateway which the distributor says fast-tracks the purchasing process.
ACDC (Avaya Configurator by DC), is part of the DC ChannelControl online portal, and was launched in November 2011 with regular updates and recent 'significant' enahancements.
Nick Verykios, Distribution Central managing director, says the enhancements deliver channel partners a system that is fast, accurate and intuitive and streamlines the entire process from quoting to asset management.
He says the distributor quickly saw the benefits of ACDC in the Avaya channel when it first launched.
“We've continued our investment in the Avaya channel, ensuring that our innovation in systms gives our Avaya partners a real competitive edge,” he says.
Designed for the Avaya SME and data product ranges, and including third party complementary vendors such as Jabra, ACDC enables Avaya partners to view real-time pricing and up-to-date stock levels; build specialised quotes; complete deal registration with additional discount requests; request proof-of-concepts and import designs built in Avaya's systems with accurate pricing.
Distribution Central claims it is 'near impossible to make a mistake' with the company keeping abreast of Avaya's regularly changing product set to ensure the system is always valid.
The system has been tailored to specific partner requirements and can be combined with Distribution Central's IBAM (install base and analytics management) tool to enable partners to manage the product lifecycle of customer's assets.
