Veeam Software has today announced that the Veeam Cloud Provider (VCP) program continues to grow revenue at a year-over-year rate of 100+ percent across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), even faster than the overall growth of the company.
The VCP program is designed to offer flexible monthly and perpetual licensing to meet the needs of hosting, managed service and cloud service providers.
The backup provider claims growth of the program has been fueled by ongoing product development, such as the recent release of Veeam Backup & Replication v7, which introduced capabilities of particular interest to service providers.
Veeam also recently introduced the Veeam Cloud Provider directory to connect service providers with Veeam’s more than 3,570 customers and 1,240 resellers across ANZ (globally, there are over 80,000 customers and 20,000), many of which are looking to extend on-premise deployments of Veeam offsite
VCP service offerings include a place to store backups, host replicas and perform recoveries in the cloud.
“The success of our VCP program is a testament to the accelerating demand for cloud-based services and the need for hosting and managed service providers to safeguard their clients with Modern Data Protection,” says Don Williams, Regional Director APAC, Veeam Software.
“Historically, the majority of our revenue from VCP licensing has been perpetual; however, we’re experiencing a strong increase in monthly rentals, so much so that rentals now account for 45 percent of our total VCP revenue.
"We’re meeting a critical need in the service provider industry and as a result, the VCP program now accounts for a notable percentage of our annual revenue.
“We view service providers as partners, which is why we recently launched the VCP directory, which connects VCPs with customers and resellers looking for backup and disaster recovery in the cloud.
"We recently expanded the directory to include backup and disaster recovery-as-a-service, as well as hosted VMs protected by Veeam.
"Our partners’ success is critical to our success, and the expanded directory will help the entire ecosystem to grow.”
The Veeam Cloud Provider program currently has 410 service provider participants across ANZ (4,000 worldwide), with monthly rental available in more than 70 countries from more than 50 Veeam aggregators.
