Zendesk has nearly doubled its customers across Australia and New Zealand in the past year, rising to almost 3,000 customers from 1,500 local customers in January 2013.
This comes as the company also passed 40,000 customers globally using its cloud software for better customer service across 140 countries.
Now more than 300 million people have received customer service from an organisation using Zendesk, with the new milestone coinciding with Zendesk announcing new board members and key executives.
Australia and New Zealand have proved the busiest markets for Zendesk in Asia Pacific, accounting for the majority of customers in the region. Customers in Australia and New Zealand include Lonely Planet, the REA Group, LJ Hooker, Tourism Australia, Forever New, Cotton On and Kwik Kopy.
“It has been an exciting 12 months for Zendesk as we grow in Australia and New Zealand,” says Michael Folmer Hansen, Zendesk vice president and managing director, Asia Pacific.
“With 30 people now based in Melbourne, Zendesk is attracting new customers every day and working with thousands of new and existing customers to help them provide outstanding customer service.”
“We are honoured to have gained the trust of 40,000 customers--from local shops and emerging startups to the world’s largest brands,” adds Mikkel Svane, founder and CEO of Zendesk.
“While it took almost four years to reach our first 10,000 customers, we added our most recent 10,000 customers in only nine months.
"Companies are recognising that the voice of the customer is more important than ever before and are focusing on making their customer experiences beautifully simple.”
