Acronis appointment drives next phase growth

Acronis has appointed Andy Purvis as general manager for ANZ in a move the company hopes with drive next phase growth across the region.

The data solutions provider says Purvis will be responsible for building the Acronis presence in ANZ, overseeing the go-to-market strategy, as well as driving business growth.

Drawing on over 25 years’ experience in leadership, general and executive management positions, Acronis says Purvis brings a wealth of practical experience including start-ups and private to public, as well as established publicly listed corporations across Europe the U.S. and latterly Asia-Pacific.

“Acronis is an established company with ten years’ experience in backup and disaster recovery,” Purvis says.

“Its ability to offer a single, integrated solution for data protection and disaster recovery across physical, virtual and cloud environments is a compelling story for our channel and customers.

“I am very excited to join the company as we enter the next phase of our growth and have the opportunity to define and execute on our go to market strategy here in ANZ.

Before his appointment, Purvis served as an executive director at Dell developing their Enterprise Solutions & Services offerings in the APAC region.

Prior to Dell he held the office of COO for renowned Australian IT services and Telecommunications Infrastructure specialist Brennan IT.
