FYI, this story is more than a year old

Barracuda Networks has appointed Mike Romans as country manager for Australia and New Zealand, tasked with driving sales, channel and management operations across the region.

The two-tier distribution company says Romans will be based in Sydney, responsible for enhancing the security and storage solution provider's business processes.

"I am delighted to be joining the team at Barracuda Networks which is delivering the right solutions at the right time," Romans says.

"The security and storage markets are undergoing exponential growth and as a result Barracuda Networks is experiencing growing demand for its solutions.

"I will be working closely with our sales teams and our partners to fortify the foundations of the company’s ANZ channel strategy, enhancing business processes and the winning strategies to provide organisations with proactive, dynamic protection."

With over ten years’ experience in the IT industry, Romans initially started his career at Parametric Technology Corporation before becoming Manufacturing Channel Sales manager for Australia and New Zealand at Autodesk.

But Romans joins Barracuda following several years working at Furniture Origins, a leading Chinese-based furniture manufacturer, where he was United Kingdom Country manager and, more recently, vice president of Business Development based in the US.
