Motorola Solutions has appointed David Arkles as general manager of the company’s Enterprise team in Australia and New Zealand.

Arkles takes the reins from Neale Joseph, who was recently promoted to the role of Vice President, Channel Sales for the Asia Pacific and Middle East region.

Arkles will be responsible for leading the organisation’s enterprise solutions and channels team in Australia and New Zealand, helping deliver business-critical mobility solutions to customers across industries such as retail, minerals and energy, transport and logistics, supply chain, healthcare and education.

“In addition to his leadership and business development expertise, David brings a wealth of experience and a strong passion for mentoring and building professional capability to help teams perform their best," says Steven Crutchfield, managing director, Motorola Solutions ANZ.

"He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the telecommunications industry, and understands the critical factors that underpin success in the development and delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary solutions.”

Crutchfield has worked alongside the Motorola Solutions team over the past few years on a range of strategic planning and business coaching initiatives, and brings more than 20 years’ experience in the ICT industry, with particular expertise in strategy, business development and corporate change.

Some of his executive level assignments have included leadership of Ericsson’s Enterprise/Services organisation across Australia and the United States, as well as a number of senior sales and marketing roles at Wang, Ericsson, and Volante at the time of its merger with Ipex.
