Lenovo releases new ThinkPad devices

Lenovo has released the latest additions to its ThinkPad portfolio: the T495, T495s, and X395 - Windows 10 laptops, with up to the 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen 7 PRO Mobile Processors with Radeon Vega graphics.

With two models weighing under three pounds, these new products offer businesses a mobile experience with security, performance, manageability and durability.

Stated battery life is up to four more hours on a single charge and increased performance by up to 18% as compared to benchmarks of the prior generation.

“These new flagship ThinkPad series mark the first time AMD benefits are inside our thin and light T, Ts, and X laptops,” says Lenovo intelligent devices group commercial product portfolio vice president Jerry Paradise.

ThinkPad T495

  • Up to 2nd Gen Ryzen 7 PRO Mobile Processors with Radeon Vega Graphics, designed to boost productivity, enhance multimedia and improve energy efficiency. Enhanced with Radeon FreeSync technology for pixel quality and a fluid frame refresh rate, virtually free of screen stutters, designed for video, presentations and light PC gaming.
     
  • G-force crash hazard shock procedure to protect against bumps.
     
  • 14-inch Full HD (1920x1080) display at 400 nits to make text and icons easier to see in dim surroundings even at a lower power setting than other PCs its size.
     
  • T495 and T495s include ThinkPad's dual far-field microphones on the AMD models for improved 360° reception to enhance VoIP conferencing performance in noisy environments.
     
  • Side mechanical docking with flexible support mechanics to enable self-levelling at nearly any angle.
     
  • Optional ePrivacy filter for side viewing protection.

ThinkPad X395

  • Includes the ThinkShutter, an integrated camera security cover.
     
  • Optional ePrivacy filter for side viewing protection.
     
  • AMD Memory Guard (transparent secure memory encryption (TSME) helps provide protection against cold boot attacks if an attacker has physical access to the system.
     
  • AMD Memory Guard provides OS and application- independent DRAM encryption, performing real-time encryption/decryption of system RAM.

ThinkPad T495s

  • Includes Lenovo ThinkShield, an end-to-end security platform.
