New GM for Canon Consumer Imaging business
Tue, 26th May 2015
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Adam Maxwell has been appointed as the new general manager for the Canon Consumer Imaging business, replacing Kim Conner who took up the role of managing director for Canon New Zealand last month.

Canon managing director Kim Conner says Maxwell's broad and diverse experience is just what Canon needs at a time of continual shifts in consumer behaviour and the rapid growth of global online commerce.

“We were greatly impressed by Adam's passion and drive and look forward to him steering the brand as a leader in marketing innovation and consumer engagement,” she says.

Maxwell joins Canon New Zealand from Independent Liquor and Boundary Road Brewery where he has been general manager of marketing and innovation for the past six and a half years. He has held previous roles at DB Breweries and Diageo Great Britain and was a recipient of the NZ Marketing Association Marketer of the Year award.

“This year Canon aims to inspire and enable New Zealanders to do more with what they see using a unique suite of end-to-end products, services and capabilities,” Conner says.

“My leadership team is always focused on the future and defining Canon's role in enhancing the customer experience,” she continues. “I am very excited to welcome talent such as Adam to this dynamic team.”

Maxwell will also be a part of the senior leadership team across Canon's total business.
