NEXTDC offers pay-by-the-month colocation services
Mon, 17th Nov 2014
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Data-Centre-as-a-Service provider NEXTDC has today announced the launch of their FastStart colocation bundles, offering customers a 30-day contract option with remote management capability.

The minimal commitment pay-by-the-month option gives customers a faster way to access the full benefits of NEXTDC’s enterprise-class colocation services and cloud centre ecosystem to develop their hybrid cloud solution.

The company says FastStart offers a flexible and customisable colocation bundle supported by the same resilient data center infrastructure and customer services as traditionally purchased colocation.

“Businesses are demanding cloud-like flexibility from their data center service, and NEXTDC is fulfilling this need by improving and expanding our range of industry-leading products and services,” says Craig Scroggie, NEXTDC CEO Craig.

“The introduction of FastStart reflects our commitment to maintaining our position as Australia’s most innovative data center provider. FastStart radically accelerates speed-of-access to enterprise-grade colocation and our Cloud Centre ecosystem, giving customers the opportunity to hybridise their IT strategy with future flexibility.”

Paired with NEXTDC’s NXTech Smart Hands service, FastStart bundles mean customers’ entire service with NEXTDC can be ordered and maintained remotely, from receiving deliveries to building, operating and managing their infrastructure. NEXTDC Project Management services also assist with planning and managing a migration project or other major infrastructure changes.

NEXTDC says the combination of customisable colocation and on-the-ground data center expertise makes FastStart attractive for SMEs without their own expert tech staff; offshore organisations wanting to establish an Australian presence; organisations unsure of their upfront colocation requirements; or those needing to rapidly deploy IT infrastructure in any of NEXTDC’s facilities.

NEXTDC racks come ready with ID access cards  for 24/7 data center access, and can be monitored remotely through NEXTDC’s  data center management portal, ONEDC. ONEDC allows users to manage their entire service with NEXTDC, across multiple facilities, from any web-enabled device.
