Ingram Micro New Zealand is adding Trend Micro to its Cloud Marketplace, providing Kiwi resellers with the opportunity to bundle security with other offerings.

Gary Bigwood, Ingram Micro New Zealand managing director, says Kiwi resellers have been clamouring for a security offering which can be bundled with Office 365, with high demand expected for the offering when it launches in Q1.

“It's going to be fantastic,” Bigwood says.

“It gives us the ability to deliver to resellers a bundle. And one of the most commonly asked for bundles is Office 365 plus security.

“There's already demand for it and that's before we've even announced.

“We think that's just going to snowball when we deliver to market and get people thinking and talking about it.

Trend Micro has been live in Ingram Micro's United States marketplace since the middle of this year and is just one of a number of new offerings expected to hit the Kiwi Cloud Marketplace next year.

“The set of products we have got in our Cloud Marketplace today is great, but if you look at what is in the United States they've got many times more than what we've got - and it's all coming down the line,” Bigwood says.

“The roadmap is just massive and that's another advantage we have against our competitors - leveraging that global scale," he says.

“We're hoping that the onboarding of new vendors into our marketplace is going to multiply dramatically in 2017. That's the plan.
