FYI, this story is more than a year old

Palo Alto Networks, the provider of enterprise security, and Westcon Group have announced New Zealand will be included as part of a global distribution agreement.

As a value-added distributor of security and other solutions, Westcon Group says the distribution agreement will enhance its New Zealand security portfolio.

The partnership between Westcon Group and Palo Alto Networks brings new opportunities and enables New Zealand customers to have access to the Palo Alto Networks integrated platform.

The integrated platform uses next-generation firewalls, cloud based threat intelligence and advanced endpoint protection to help enterprises and governments secure their organisations.

Westcon Group says the platform provides customers the ability to address a range of enterprise security requirements and enable organisations to manage risks and keep pace with technology requirements.

Mark Baker, Westcon Group NZ, sales and marketing director, says, “It will be great to be able to offer Palo Alto in New Zealand.”

“As a partner in our Security Practice, Palo Alto will provide our customers with a broad and consistent security portfolio in New Zealand, while leveraging Westcon’s technical and market expertise to drive opportunity,” says Baker.

Keith Carter, Palo Alto Networks, director of channels and alliances, APAC, says, "Palo Alto Networks and Westcon Group are committed to enabling channel partners in markets hungry for a true enterprise security platform."

He says Palo Alto and Westcon Group see immense opportunity in New Zealand.

New Zealand is one of more than 40 countries Westcon Group and Palo Alto Networks will do business in as part of the global distribution agreement.
