FYI, this story is more than a year old

National leader in New Zealand primary labelling, Jenkins Labels has accepted an offer by Sato NZ to purchase the business.

Part of the Japanese run Sato Group, Sato NZ already has a large presence on labelling in New Zealand and is further extending its capabilities with the acquisition.

“We are constantly striving to reinforce our network of solution providers to bring customised labelling solutions to customers. This acquisition of a proven market leader boosts our network and lineup to improve our ability to deliver comprehensive labelling solitions to New Zealand customers,” said president and CEO of Sato Holdings, Kaz Matsuyama.

Jenkins Labels managing director, Tony Sayle, said that it would be business as usual and advised that the majority of Jenkins' staff would remain employed.

Initially, operations will continue at the Jenkins site in Tiri Place, with a gradual shift to a Sato manufacturing facility in Mairangi Bay over the coming months.

Jenkns' sister company, Jenkins Freshpak Systems will continue to operate independently within the horticulture market throughout Australasia.
