APAC Sophos' Nicki Dewhurst included in prestigious 'Women of the Channel' list

The gender divide in IT and affiliated industries is a topic of increasing concern, but companies like Sophos are breaking the mould.

The cybersecurity vendor has had eight woman from its channel and marketing teams named in CRN’s 2017 Women of the Channel list for their outstanding leadership, vision and unique role in driving channel growth and innovation.

In fact, Sophos asserts it is the only vendor with a sole business focus on IT security to have eight women from three regions around the world recognised as Women of the Channel - a feat the company says underlines its global channel strength and commitment to be ‘channel best’.

The list is compiled annually and includes women from the IT channel, representing vendors, distributors, solution providers and other organisations that figure prominently in the channel ecosystem.

Here is the list of women from Sophos that were chosen for their ‘professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise and ongoing dedication to the IT channel:

  • Nicki Dewhurst, marketing director, Asia Pacific and Japan
  • Kendra Krause, vice president, global channels
  • Justine Lewis, vice president, worldwide field and channel marketing
  • Erin Malone, vice president, North America channel sales
  • Caralyn Stern, senior marketing director, global channel and Americas
  • Regina Vignone, director of channel sales
  • Melissa Lyons, global channel programs manager
  • Maria Claudia Ardila, Latin America channel program manager

Senior vice president of worldwide sales for Sophos, Mike Valentine says the company is 100 percent focused on the channel and having eight of their leaders from across sales and marketing included in CRN's prestigious list serves as a testament to their global commitment and the success of their programs.

To top off the positive news from Sophos, its most recent earnings announcement for the 12 months ended March 31 2017 posted strong performance with total reported billings growth of more than 18 percent.
