FYI, this story is more than a year old

Aruba has today confirmed a range of new offerings, in a move to enable its channel partners' service businesses.

Amongst its new offerings is the Aruba Mobile First Platform, its Partner Ready for Networking Program, and network procurement models.

According to the networking provider, the new partner program is designed to maximise revenue for its channel partners by positioning them to be highly competitive in the mobility networking market.

This new channel program takes elements from the Aruba PartnerEdge and HPE Partner Ready programs to create a new program to enable partners to capitalise on enterprise mobility market opportunity.

“The new Partner Ready for Networking program delivers predictable profitability via deal protection and a simple structure that makes it easy to calculate deal profitability at the front- and back-end,” Aruba says.

According to the company, channel partners benefit from expanded revenue opportunities as they are rewarded for specialisations in cross-selling and up-selling both wireless and wired solutions.

Partners will also have the opportunity to increase margins for expertise in recognised mobility competencies, and the program offers enriched back-end incentives for specialised networking expertise, Aruba says.

“The ability to sell extensive services, including managed services such as Aruba Central, will further enhance partner margins and enable them to attain trusted advisor status with their customers,” it says.

“With the new Partner Ready for Networking program, partners will significantly improve their competitive position while maximising their revenue opportunities with a more predictable revenue stream.

On top of the new partner program, Aruba has launched the Aruba Mobile First Platform, a software layer that it says leverages APIs to provide third-party developers and business leaders network insight into what can improve applications and services.

According to Aruba, the platform accelerates integration and innovation of mobile and IoT at the speed of the developer ecosystem, rather than the pace of a single vendor.

This should provide easier entry into managed services for channel partners, Aruba says.

“To support today's mobile first and rapidly developing IoT environment, networks must deliver more than connectivity,” the company says.

“With actionable insights about the use of specific mobile apps and the operational technologies powered by IoT, networks can help organisations justify future digital technology investments.
