FYI, this story is more than a year old

Since system integrator NSC moved to Auckland in March, it’s acquired new customers and bumped up staff numbers – its success in part due to Avaya’s expanded distribution network.

Country manager Mark Wallendorf says the decision by Avaya earlier in the year to end its exclusive deal with Agile has made it much easier to do business in New Zealand. Before that they had to work through their Australasian operation - now use local reseller Distribution Central.

NSC specialise in unified communication and contact centre technology. Its clients in New Zealand include ANZ/National (around 460 contact centre seats) and Pacific Blue in Christchurch (around 60 seats). The company had acquired those customers in Australia but moved to New Zealand because the offices here didn’t want to be served from across the ditch, says Wallendorf.

Wallendorf set up shop in March with 14 clients on the books. In nine months that customer base has grown to 20 customers with 29 sites. NSC has opened two offices, employed a further nine staff and are recruiting three more.

In addition to being a platinum Avaya partner, NSC is a Microsoft partner. The company celebrated its 20th anniversary last year.
