Bitglass, a CASB company, is accelerating its global expansion with the appointment of David Shephard as the company’s VP of sales for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
David’s charter is to build on Bitglass’ existing presence in APJ, capitalising on growing demand for cloud and mobile security.
Based in Sydney, Shephard brings extensive experience in cyber security having spent the past 15 years driving revenue growth and customer engagement for organisations including Tanium, Telstra and RSA, The Security Division of EMC.
Shephard will be responsible for building on the early success Bitglass has achieved in the Asia Pacific and Japan region, with a focus on establishing key markets, new channel partner recruitment and enablement and enterprise account development.

According to Gartner by 2020, 60% of large enterprises will use a CASB to govern cloud services, up from less than 10% today.
