FYI, this story is more than a year old

Chillisoft's channel partners have a new offering to take to customers, with the security software distributor introducing a new cloud email filtering service, CloudControl Mail.

The new edition to Chillisoft's portfolio comes via a partnership with Australian IT solutions developer NetBox Blue.

The cloud-based email filtering and messaging assurance system filters email borne threats and spam and is suitable for companies with 10 to 100,000 mailboxes, Chillisoft says.

Steve Smith, Chillisoft director of technical services, says the service provies email recipients with an online dashboard for personal control over email filtering review and classification.

Overall control is is retained through SysAdmin policies, reducing demand on helpdesk resources.

Smith says a key feature is the built-in Zero Minute Defense which leverages real-time knowledge, gathered from NetBox Blue's worldwide sensor network, continuously creating and implementing new malware detection and protection rules to eliminate new email threats moments after they emerge.

The company says CloudControl Mail takes just minutes to configure and deploy.

All inbound messages are checked for spam, viruses and malware, with 'inappropriate' messages quarantined in the data center and not sent on unless released.

CloudControl also spools emails for up to 160 hours, eliminating message 'bounces' if a mail server goes down.
