Citrix has pinned Phil Caleno to the newly-created role of Senior Manager for NetScaler, Australia and New Zealand.

Caleno will be responsible for sales and business strategies for Citrix’s NetScaler solution, which provides application acceleration, load balancing and web security technologies to organisations.

“Citrix has created this role in response to very strong growth in the application delivery controller (ADC), WAN optimisation and VPN technology fields,” said Bede Hackney, Director of Product Sales, ANZ. “Application delivery controllers are a key enabling technology helping customers migrate to the cloud and improve end user experience for today’s complex web applications.”

Prior to joining Citrix, Caleno was Systems Engineering Manager at BlueCoat Systems.
