CyberArk expands APAC team, invests in local partners

CyberArk has expanded its global channel management team with key appointments in the APAC region, with the intention of extending the vendor's regional reach and support for partners.

CyberArk appointed Adel Eid as senior director, channels for Asia Pacific and Japan, and Bruce Nixon as channel manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Singapore, Eid is responsible for managing and enabling CyberArk's channel organisation within the region. Formerly director of distribution Asia Pacific and Japan for Symantec, Eid also held several senior channel management roles at Cisco in Europe and across the Asia Pacific region.

During this time, he led distribution for South East Asia and was responsible for setting and executing on the channel and commercial market strategy for Cisco in the ASEAN region. Before joining Cisco, Eid worked for Sony, Novell and Compaq in various sales and marketing roles.

Based in Sydney, Nixon is responsible for driving CyberArk's channel enablement to support partner go-to-market strategies and sales.

Nixon has 20 years of IT industry sales and channel management experience across SaaS, security, networking and mobility solutions. Most recently, he was an account executive at FieldAware where he helped manage and build the company's business in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior, Nixon was channel manager for Australia and New Zealand at Aruba Networks where he drove the development, strategy and expansion of the Aruba channel partner community.  Previously, he worked in several regional sales and territory account management roles at Juniper Networks, Symantec, Computer Associates and McAfee. 

The CyberArk Privileged Account Solution enables channel partners to reach new enterprise customers, according to the company. Most recently, the company launched CyberArk Privileged Threat Analytics v3.0 that features targeted analytics and the ability to analyse network traffic to better detect indications of an attack early in the lifecycle, including credential theft, lateral movement and privilege escalation. Additionally, CyberArk Viewfinity v5.5 delivers privileged account security to the endpoint with integrated privilege management and application control to help protect against malware-based attacks.
