D-Link has snapped up former Xirrus and Netgear manager Phil Tarbox as it seeks to drive grow its business solutions foothold via its local channel partners.

Tarbox, who takes on the newly created role of head of the business solutions team, will lead the existing D-Link Solutions team in a move the company says further cements its commitment earlier this year to expand resources and offerings to business partners across Australia and New Zealand.

Graeme Reardon, D-Link ANZ managing director, says Tarbox has experience engaging with channel partners to add value, maximise their profitability and support them.

“With an ever-expanding set of products and solutions that meet the specific needs of business customers via our channel partner ecosystem, I'm excited to be able to create this new role to have Phil lead the D-Link Business Solutions team to help continue our ongoing growth across the wider D-Link ANZ business in the region,” Reardon says.

Tarbox has been in ICT for 20 years, most recently with Xirrus Wi-Fi Networks, where he was regional sales director for Australia and New Zealand, and as channel manager for Netgear's commercial business unit.

“I'm delighted to be joining D-Link ANZ at such an exciting time when they are investing heavily in the Business Solutions space,” Tarbox says.

He says Business Solutions has seen double-digit year on year growth for D-Link for several years and represents ‘an ever-growing part' of the vendor's overall business.
