DC's Verykios steps up to MD

07 Apr 11

Distribution Central has announced that its Sales and Marketing Director, Nick Verykios (pictured), has stepped up to take on the role of Managing Director, with CEO Scott Frew moving into the role of Executive Chairman.

"We are tracking to exceed $160 million in revenue this financial year in a highly competitive distribution market,” said Verykios.

"Organically we’ve been growing really fast for a long time and our financial position is pretty strong. We’ve made profit every year despite all the investment we’ve put into the business. Now we need to aggressively compete.

The top-level reshuffle also sees Verykios lead an innovation committee comprised of Distribution Central’s senior management and leadership team, to develop the ideas that will help the company grow to its goal of $250 million in the next financial year.

"We’re looking at the key drivers affecting distribution over the next five years and trying to determine how we’re going to respond to those and we’re looking to introduce some innovations,” said Verykios. "The innovations that are going to be driving distribution in three years time haven’t even been thought of yet.”
