FYI, this story is more than a year old

Cisco have appointed Ken Boal as the new managing director of the ANZ region, in a double swoop for the company.

After also recruiting Richard Kitts as vice president of Services for the Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China area, the networker says Boal's start date will be effective immediately.

Joining the company in 2004, Boal was tasked with leading Cisco's engagement in the public sector with Australia's federal state and territory governments.

“Network enabled technology is disrupting and transforming industries across Australia and New Zealand, accelerated by the Internet of Everything," he said.

"I look forward to continuing to drive Cisco's engagement with our customers, partners and the industry to capture new business value and enable these exciting new possibilities."

Kitts will also begin his new role immediately, after previously heading the company's ANZ region.
