Exeed brings Kiwi developed cloud platform to reseller base

27 Mar 17

Exeed is teaming up with Waikato’s LayerX Group to offer resellers a Kiwi owned and operated cloud services platform which it says is the ideal fit for New Zealand’s SMB market.

The vGrid cloud services platform provides a range of on-demand infrastructure-as-a-service and software-as-a-service solutions, covering ‘everything’ from a single mailbox to a complex setup of virtual and dedicated servers, storage, desktops and phone systems.

The solutions are all fully automated and self service, providing cost-effective resources to small and medium businesses, with the service hosted in Auckland and Hamilton data centres.

Justin Tye, Exeed managing director, says vGrid is ‘an ideal fit’ to deliver cost-effective cloud services specific to the needs of New Zealand SMBs.

The appointment of Exeed as a distributor for vGrid comes as LayerX Group ramps up its growth plans.

Bruce Trevarthen, LayerX Group chief executive, says the company’s growth strategy for vGrid required a change in gear to expose the platform to a broader market of channel partners.

“vGrid currently has 24 channel partners across New Zealand and we expect the number to grow significantly with exposure to Exeed’s broad range of partners,” Trevarthen says.

“The team at Exeed are fantastic to do business with and the relationship has flourished with the excitement of what vGrid can deliver to Exeed’s customers.

“We look forward to delivering industry-leading services to Exeed’s hannel and its end customers,” Trevarthhen adds.

vGrid, which began life in 2008 under the ‘theCloud’ brand, has more than 1,800 customer accounts.
