FYI, this story is more than a year old

Local value-adding distributor Hills has announced that Jourdan Garde will return to the company, serving as general manager for growth markets of security, surveillance and IT, for Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Hills Port Melbourne office, Garde will be responsible for further expanding the company's presence in the enterprise security market and developing sales opportunities with channel partners as part of a strategy to cultivate big-ticket projects.

Garde returns to Hills after working for Genetec APAC in a business development role, and the distributor has welcomed him back, saying his strong product knowledge and extensive network of contacts will aid the company in their growth strategies regarding their security, surveillance and IT business portfolios.

Hills says Garde can leverage his expertise in open architecture security solutions offered by Genetec and other global technology leaders, proving to be a valuable asset for the organisation.

Horst Kubsch also joins Hills as pre-sales support engineer, based in Port Melbourne.

Kubsch has over 30 years' experience in the electronic security industry, from manufacturing to system installation and monitoring.

According to Hills, he specialises in complex system designs for the mining, education, finance and correctional services sectors, and will focus on the development of the Hills pre-sales capabilities, while utilising his expertise in system design to facilitate purpose-built projects.

David Lenz, Hills CEO, says that the new appointments were aimed at leading the company into its next phase of growth, targeting key verticals like health, education, banking and government infrastructure.

“With industry expertise, broad capabilities and unique product portfolio, Hills is ideally positioned to deliver integrated solutions," he says.

"Partnering with leading global technology providers like Genetec, we can create true turn-key offerings for enterprise and infrastructure projects."

Bill Sakellariou, Hills head of sales for security, surveillance and IT says the addition of Garde and Kubsch will boost the distributors' ability to provide state-of-the-art, purpose-built security solutions.

“We're growing our pre-sales capabilities and leveraging the skills of the best people in the industry, to ensure we can create custom solutions and tailored outcomes to consultants and end-users across Australia and New Zealand,” Sakellariou says.
