Impact Systems secures ANZ distie deal for NCS Tech

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Aussie PC manufacturer Impact Systems Technology has secured the distribution deal for NCS Technologies' Cirrus LT zero client laptop in Australia and New Zealand.

Established in 1990, Impact Systems is a leading OEM/ODM PC provider and distributor across ANZ. The contract with NCS serves an addition to the company's raft of partnerships in the industry. The company is a direct partner with Intel as an IPP  (Intel Premier Provider) and a direct Microsoft Systems Builder partner. The firm has distribution partnerships with most vendors in the IT computer marketing industry including Lenovo, HP and Asus.

"This is a very unique product which will have an important appeal to industry with a high level of security in mind," Peter Agamalis, Impact Systems senior channel manager, says in a statement.

Cirrus LT launched in the U.S in 2014 and is focused on government, finance and healthcare – and other segments where users demand security, mobility and efficiency.

NCS delivers mobile PCoIP devices, as well as offering an end-to-end portfolio of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions. The company manufactures commercial off-the-shelf computers, high-end workstations, ruggedised PCs and servers, custom-built high-performance servers and computers for the military.

The Cirrus LT uses the Teradici PCoIP protocol to ensure ‘superior computing performance', NCS says in a statement. PCoIP compresses, encrypts and encodes the computing experience at the data center and transmits only pixels across the network to the end user. PC users have secure, fully functional access to all applications. Cirrus LT takes advantage of the strongest security protocols, AES-256 cryptography and NSA Suite B ciphers.

The Cirrus LT works with VMware Horizon View and Amazon WorkSpaces cloud services. The laptop supports copper, fibre and Wi-Fi connectivity.
