Interactive Intelligence Acquires CallTime Solutions
Mon, 1st Aug 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

CallTime, which has been an exclusive reseller of Interactive Intelligence’s software since 1998, will operate as part of the Interactive Intelligence sales and services organisation in Australia and New Zealand.Interactive Intelligence Group founder and chief executive Donald E Brown says CallTime has been the company’s largest revenue-producing reseller in Australia and New Zealand for the last three years. "Following this acquisition we’ll have approximately 30 experienced employees to take better advantage of the largest customer opportunities in the region, while providing superior channel support,” Brown says. "It’s also in line with our strategy of accelerating growth in targeted regions outside of North America and also nicely augments the recent opening of our Sydney data center, which supports our growing communications-as-a-service business.”The company, which says it has experienced strong growth in the Australia and New Zealand region over the last five years, will continue to market its solutions throughout Australia and New Zealand both directly and through its existing channel of authorised resellers. "Interactive Intelligence remains committed to a ‘sell-through-partner’ strategy in the ANZ region. As Interactive Intelligence has done in other parts of the world where it has acquired a distribution partner, the company will continue to support its other partners in the region. The company will also actively recruit additional partners in the region... The resources gained through the acquisition will be of benefit to all existing and future partners.”CallTime, which employed 24 staff at the time of the acquisition, has been operating from offices in Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne, serving nearly 50 customers. The headquarters for the combined operations will be in Sydney.
