FYI, this story is more than a year old

Interactive Intelligence has announced the promotion of Brendan Maree as Vice President – Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

The appointment comes at a time as the company continues to ramp its presence across the Asia Pacific region and witnesses increased sales momentum for cloud-based contact centre solution deployments.

Maree initially joined Interactive Intelligence eight years ago as Managing Director, Australia, New Zealand & Pacific.

During this time, he has been responsible for growing company sales, managing partner relationships, supporting company acquisitions and boosting the company’s employee base which now numbers more than 120 people across Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

During the past 12 months alone, Interactive Intelligence has launched new office locations in Perth and Auckland, hosted its inaugural ANZ user conference and was named Frost and Sullivan’s 2013 Australian Contact Centre Applications Vendor of the Year.

“The Australian, New Zealand and Japanese markets are high-growth countries for Interactive Intelligence both in terms of revenue increase and staff headcount," Maree says.

"In addition, the Asia Pacific region as a whole provides a major opportunity for our cloud-based contact centre solutions as companies seek to harness the productivity, scalability and cost savings which both hybrid and cloud infrastructure solutions provide.

"I look forward to expanding my remit to include Japan in 2014."
