Alcatraz has appointed Kasia Hanson as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, expanding its leadership team with the aim of strengthening its partner ecosystem.

Hanson brings over two decades of experience in the security sector, including a long tenure at Intel where she led teams focusing on security ecosystem development, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies in AI, IoT, edge computing and cybersecurity. At Intel, her initiatives were credited with generating in excess of USD $15 billion in revenue, primarily through growth in the company's global business and strategic AI adoption advisory for large enterprises.

In her new role, Hanson will focus on developing and deepening Alcatraz's strategic partnerships across a number of priority sectors. These include critical infrastructure, corporate campuses, higher education, and major venues such as stadiums.

Leadership perspectives

Kasia is a proven force in security, known for forging meaningful partnerships across high-stakes sectors like government, finance, sports venues and critical infrastructure. She joins us at a time of strong momentum, as we continue to scale globally. Kasia brings the credibility, focus and leadership to strengthen our partner ecosystem, accelerate adoption and expand our impact across the industries that rely on Alcatraz," said Tina D'Agostin, CEO of Alcatraz.

Hanson has also received industry recognition for her contributions. Her accolades include being a Top 40 Security Influencer by LifeSafety Alliance, a two-time Top 30 Influencer by Security Journal Americas, and a three-time honouree in the SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100. She currently serves as president of the Global Council for Responsible AI USA Chapter, working to promote responsible and ethical AI development.

She is also a distinguished fellow at the Innovation Institute for Fan Experience, where she focuses on improving safety at large venues, and has experience in advising the U.S. Olympic team on public safety strategies.

Alcatraz provides facial authentication platforms for access control across a range of industries, including Fortune 100 campuses, AI data centres, financial institutions, and national research facilities. Its platform is noted for privacy-centric design and scalability for environments with stringent security requirements.

Kasia Hanson's vision

Alcatraz has already built strong partnerships across some of the most security-conscious industries, from financial institutions to global stadiums. What excites me is the opportunity to take those relationships even further by aligning with partners on long-term strategy, accelerating adoption in complex environments and expanding into new use cases where privacy, safety and trust are essential. I'm thrilled to join a company that is raising the bar for secure access and look forward to helping scale its global impact and grow revenue," said Kasia Hanson, vice president of strategic partnerships for Alcatraz.

Alcatraz has positioned itself as a supplier of facial authentication systems to secure physical spaces, with adopters across highly regulated industries and venues with heightened security needs. The company's stated focus is on supporting environments that require high trust and privacy through its technology.
