Kiwi VMob expands into Japan and US markets

 VMob, the Kiwi mobile marketing company, is continuing to expand offshore, looking in particular at the US and Japan markets.

Co-investment from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) spread over three years will help VMob expand into these markets.

Money provided by NZTE’s International Growth Fund, which VMob will match, will assist in marketing, hiring and resourcing in the US and Japan. It will be used to establish offices and hire staff, enabling VMob to develop new business opportunities with large international retailers.

John Ferguson, NZTE, government and education board member, says, “We have worked extensively with VMob for the last few years, and we’re excited to be able to continue to contribute to their global expansion.”

The International Growth Fund is part of the tailored package of services NZTE offers to businesses they work with frequently. Businesses that receive this finding need to match the level of investment NZTE makes.

This year VMob has signed on McDonald’s Japan and established a key partnership with Microsoft.
