MapR Technologies has announced the appointment of Paul Bennett to the role of Country Manager, where he will be charged with taking care of the company's Australia and New Zealand operations.

According to the provider of the ‘one platform for all data', Bennett will be responsible for business and go-to-market strategy, focusing on extended sales growth, customer value delivery and partner development.

APAC vice president at MapR, Simon Dale says the company is excited to bring Bennett on board.

“Paul has proven success in achieving strong, sustained business results through supporting his teams to develop and implement innovative and credible business strategies,” says Dale.

“This, combined with his outstanding sales and marketing experience, is why we are excited to have Paul on board to further enhance our engagement with customers and partners in Australian and New Zealand operations.

MapR's latest recruit has had an extensive career in the software industry and has proven himself as a successful sales and business leader. Prior to joining MapR, Bennet's previous roles have included senior leadership roles at IBM, Telelogic, Siemens Nixdorf and Ernst - Young.

Bennett says he is looking forward to joining MapR and what the future will bring.

“MapR is truly a leader in its field, and has been successfully delivering significant value to its customers in Australia and New Zealand for years,” says Bennett.

“MapR's ability to deliver one singular platform to bridge legacy systems has enabled its customers to thrive in today's digital economy. I'm excited to come on board at a time when there is tremendous opportunity across the Australian and New Zealand market as the role of big data in organisational success continues to grow.
