Renaissance closes MagnumMac online
Fri, 5th Nov 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

The MagnumMac online store is no more as Renaissance re-launches it with new YooBee branding, as first predicted by The Channel back in July.

You can still find computers, mobile devices, audio visual, storage solutions, accessories, software, learning and services in the newly launched store. But your old MagnumMac bookmark will no longer take orders.

“Any orders in progress will be completed as normal, but any new orders will need to be placed on our new YooBee Web Shop,” reads a statement on the website.

A Renaissance spokesperson told us, “The YooBee shop was launched yesterday and replaces the MagnumMac online store.”

Looking through the small print all orders over $50 get free delivery and within 14 days of the shipment date to you, you may return a product for full credit (less any associated freight charges).

“The webshop is a consolidation of the MagnumMac and StudentIT webshops. It is part of our re-branding strategy,” Renaissance added.

A media event is due to take place in the coming weeks where Renaissance will reveal more details about its re-branding strategy, which so far has seen two very different YooBee logos in the space of just four months.

In other Renaissance news, the company has said it will be bringing the Audioengine speaker range to New Zealand.
