FYI, this story is more than a year old

SAP New Zealand has launched new hosted offerings via its channel partner for midsize companies.

Integration partner Ciber is the first New Zealand partner to offer hosting as an alternative to the traditional on-premise deployment option. The offerings are said to allow midsize companies to implement and run SAP Business All-in-One solutions without having to train IT staff.

Helen Masters, General Manager, Growth Markets SAP ANZ, explained said that the forward strategy was to deliver software in any way the customer wants it. “That could be any combination of on-premise or on-demand, on the device of their choice. With this announcement we are now enabling SMEs, via our partners, to have their SAP software delivered on-demand,” she said.

Ciber will offer local customers its Flex solution, which “provides organisations with access to the best-in-class SAP ERP applications with minimised up-front costs and in-house IT requirements”.

Guenter Winter, CEO of CIBER Australia and New Zealand, added, “In the current market, mid-sized companies are under growing pressure to focus on the products and services that best meet the demands of their individual markets.

“As one of the only SAP channel partners in New Zealand to offer this subscription-based option, Ciber is proud to offer mid-sized organisations greater flexibility that best fit their unique IT needs. With Flex, mid-sized organisations can channel resources on making their business transparent and sustainable while executing growth strategies.”
