FYI, this story is more than a year old

Security and data protection company Sophos has signed its first distribution deal in ANZ, with the appointment of Connector Systems as New Zealand distributor.

The deal is part of a move to a two-tiered channel structure in ANZ for Sophos, which has previously sold direct to resellers in New Zealand. The move comes just after the company’s APAC VP sales, Stuart Fisher, was promoted to the role of APAC regional VP and managing director.

Resellers who have been buying direct from Sophos are now invited to go through Connector Systems, which will also look to offer value-added services like product training.

"With more than 30 years’ experience in distributing IT software solutions and over 1000 active channel partners we felt that [Connector Systems’] presence on the ground and strong network would be the perfect fit for distributing Sophos’ products,” Fisher says.

Sophos is also in the process of finalising a deal with a distributor in Australia.
