FYI, this story is more than a year old

Tech Data's Technology Solutions business, previously part of Avnet, has taken out top distie honours at Citrix' APJ Partner Summit, winning both Distributor of the Year for Asia Pacific and Distributor of the Year for ASEAN.

The awards, presented at Citrix's APJ Partner Summit in Bangkok, come just weeks after the distributor snapped up the global distributor award at VMware's Global Partner Innovation Awards.

William Chu, Tech Data Asia Pacific president, says the Citrix awards reinforce the investments the company has made to enhance its Citrix channel offerings, including new channel programs, proof of concept testing solutions and a team of architects to work alongside sales to provide partners with a consultative approach to solving customer problems.

“We look forward to driving further success for our partners as we continue to build upon our next-generation solution offering,” Chu says.

Tech Data says the wins come on the back of increased partner adoption, a strengthened partner network across Asia Pacific and accelerated time to market for Citrix's offerings.

“The team's deep technical expertise and impressive market coverage enabled them ot increase channel capacity across ASEAN and to successfully build upon the Citrix partner ecosystem regionally,” Tech Data Technology Solutions says.

Jamie Lim, Citrix ASEAN channels director, says partners like Tech Data's Technology Solutions enable the vendor to successfully take innovative solutions to market and advance partners' digital transformation.

“We are proud to present these awards to Technology Solutions for their achievements within Asia and their dedication to accelerating our success and that of our partners,” Lim says.

Last month Citrix appointed Brian McColm as its Australia and New Zealand director of channel, replacing Belinda Jurisic who left in March, as the vendor seeks to capture more market around digital transformation.
