FYI, this story is more than a year old

Tech Data has partnered with Pitney Bowes in Australia and New Zealand in a move Tech Data says will help partners capitalise on digital transformation opportunities in the region.

The distributor asserts the agreement with Pitney Bowes will enable the Australian and New Zealand channels to improve customer experience through the use of the Pitney Bowes software solution suite.

The team at Tech Data will also support partners through consulting services, training and enablement to help partners make the most of these solutions.

“Partners like Pitney Bowes fit perfectly into our next-generation solutions portfolio,” says Michael Costigan, vice president marketing, education and supplier management, Asia Pacific at Tech Data.

“We are focused on enabling our partners to drive digital transformation and these solutions do just that by personalising the customer experience across channels, accelerating informed decision-making and managing risk so partners can continuously drive high-growth opportunities.

Pitney Bowes has maintained a presence in Australia for almost 40 years to help clients combine physical and digital assets to drive results for clients across a wide range of industries.

The company has paid particular focus to the digital economy with unique software products and data sets to deliver the right message, at the right time through the right channel to their clients.

Managing director for Software Solutions at Pitney Bowes in Australia and New Zealand, Nigel Lester says location intelligence and targeted customer analytics, in combination with other data streams, generate new business insights, which will help their channel partners and their customers make strategic data-driven decisions to address their desired business outcome

“This alliance with Tech Data is a great fit for us as we pursue opportunities in high-growth technologies, including cloud, data analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), mobility, and next-generation security,” Lester says.

“We recognised the need to partner with system integrators and influencers with deep skills and vertical expertise to better connect with customers and we feel that Tech Data has the right knowledge, expertise and the reach to complement our business objectives.

Pitney Bowes also recently launched a new and unique data practice to aid businesses in accelerating digital transformation initiatives and is available along with the rest of the Pitney Bowes solution portfolio to Tech Data partners today.
