FYI, this story is more than a year old

Australian cybersecurity firm Tesserent has inked a reseller deal with Claroty, which will enable Tesserent to deliver Claroty's cybersecurity protection to customers across Australia and New Zealand.

Tesserent, which specialises in enterprise-grade security solutions for government, mid-market, and enterprise, will deliver the Claroty capability through its cyber analytics service called Rivium. Rivium is a threat intelligence and security monitoring platform that is delivered through Splunk.

Claroty's platform is designed for operational technology (OT) networks, the internet of things (IoT), and industrial IoT (IIoT).  It provides protection from vulnerabilities, emerging threats, malicious insiders, and unintentional errors. Additionally, Claroty's platform also features an extensive ecosystem of third party integrations and guidance from Claroty's Research Team.

According to Tesserent co-CEO Kurt Hansen, “We are delighted to add Claroty to Rivium's portfolio, deepening our capabilities in the OT sector and providing enhanced opportunities for both new and existing customers in Australia and New Zealand.

Hansen adds that Claroty's cybersecurity platform aims to drive visibility, continuity, and resiliency and it works seamlessly with Splunk.

Claroty's platform also provides a threat detection model that monitors the network for both known and unknown threats, automatically weeds out false positives, and provides suggestions for action.

Further, the integration between Claroty and Splunk extracts OT baselines, events, and alerts identified by Claroty CTD and populates them within Splunk Enterprise Security. This approach will help customers gain unified visibility across an organisation's entire IT and OT portfolio, and manage alerts from a single viewpoint within Splunk ES and extend existing SOC workflows and capabilities into OT.

Tesserent's Rivium platform also provides capabilities with Splunk Enterprise Security (SIEM), Splunk User Behaviour Analytics (UBA) and Splunk Phantom (SOAR).

Claroty APJ head of channels and alliances, Nick Nindra, comments, “The industrial economy requires a strong ecosystem of partners in order to secure, detect, and manage assets in critical infrastructure environments.

He adds that Tesserent will be pivotal to Claroty's success in bringing cybersecurity, risk management and secure remote access to Australian and New Zealand customers.

“Tesserent's Rivium team are experts in cyber analytics, machine generated data analysis and threat intelligence. Working together we will protect our mutual customers from attacks on their industrial environments and deliver effective, high-value solutions and services that address their industrial cybersecurity needs,” he says.

Tesserent is an ASX-listed company that has grown through the acquisition of cybersecurity firms including Pure Security, Rivium, north Security, Seer Security, airloom, Ludus Security, iQ3, Lateral Security, and Secure Logic.
