TomTom Telematics revs up local reseller partner base

FYI, this story is more than a year old

TomTom Telematics has set its sights on doubling its Australian and New Zealand reseller network this year, as demand for fleet management technologies ‘booms'.

The fleet management, vehicle telematics and connected car services company doubled its ANZ team last year as part of a renewed focus and commitment to local service and support, with four multi-state channel managers, based in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and New Zealand joining the team.

An additional 10 new reseller partners were also added across the region.

Christopher Chisman-Duffy, TomTom Telematics ANZ strategic sales manager, says the company is seeing ‘significant' growth locally as more businesses turn to fleet management software and telematics solutions to reduce vehicle and back-office support costs.

The company's sales partner programme for value added resellers has seen 40% of TomTom Telematics resellers achieving silver or above partnership status in 2016.

TomTom says the program was established ‘to build sustainable and profitable businesses, together, rewarding resellers for their efforts and results' in promoting and supporting TomTom's Webfleet software-as-a-service solutions.

TomTom says resellers can differentiate their proposition by creating and delivering full value-add solutions, including integration, installation, training and technical support, and generate revenue through recurring subscriptions and hardware sales.

“We select our partners on their motivation to grow in line with our own ambitions, and their ability to service and support a growing customer base,” says Chisman-Duffy.

“The feedback we've received from the program has been extremely positive, as we look to expand the initiative's scope throughout 2017,” he adds.
