Westcon extends Juniper deal through NZ exclusivity

26 Sep 13

Following an eight year partnership with Juniper Networks, Westcon Group's exclusive distribution arrangement across New Zealand represents a natural progression for the company.

Juniper's high-performance network infrastructure supports converged data, voice, video and wireless networks across extended enterprises and creates a responsive and secure environment for accelerating the deployment of services and applications over a single network.

Explaining what the agreement meant for Westcon, the company's managing director for New Zealand, Dave Rosenberg says: "Juniper is the only end to end networking vendor within our business, and with Westcon as the exclusive NZ distributor, this will further strengthen our relationship.

"We have strong development plans around this market as we believe it to be a growing business."

Dave Rosenberg believes that Juniper Networks has a good understanding of business and IT issues that face enterprise organisations today, awareness of the concerns around enterprise network security and access control, as well as the specific enterprise networking challenges affecting the campus, branch, and data centre.

He insists the market is changing significantly with the move into anything as a service or cloud, and as a result, Juniper has engineered its enterprise network solutions to address these networking challenges.

"People are going to need to sure up their environment as they move," he says. "Juniper plays right across the business - such as through its traditional on premise environment and into more recent cloud strategies."

"Our partnerships are paramount to our success. Both our Vendors and Reseller partners know their business and customers better than we do.

"What we are focussed on is understanding what they need to be successful and supporting them in their strategies."

Through the strengthening of the Westcon and Juniper relationship, this can be achieved.
