Xero recently chose Akamai Technologies as its exclusive technology provider, which Xero says has boosted the average speed of its application by 180%.

Performance in Xero’s key markets has also been enhanced "significantly” by the deal said the company, adding that the speed of the application has seen a performance increase of 235% in New Zealand.

We realised that we needed a more sophisticated and mature delivery and acceleration solution to help us scale and deliver improved performance. We looked to Akamai to provide increased online efficiency for Xero customers, and the marked improvements in our application performance across our key markets speak for themselves,” explained Rod Drury, CEO of Xero.
