Kiwi contact centre and business practice automation software company Zeacom has been sold to Canadian firm Enghouse Systems, for US$30.6 million.

With operations at over 3500 customer sites in New Zealand, Australia, the US and UK, Zeacom earned around US$29 million in revenue during fiscal 2012.

Founder and CEO Miles Valentine says he’s ‘very pleased’ to be joining forces with Enghouse.

"In a consolidating and evolving market, scale and resources matter,” Valentine says.

"With Enghouse we found the perfect partner to take advantage of the market opportunities ahead of us.”

Stephen Sadler, chairman and CEO of Enghouse, expresses similar sentiments.

"Zeacom presents us with a great opportunity to address the SMB space more effectively, extend our reach into new geographies and further position Enghouse to meet the evolving needs of our current and future customers,” Sadler says.
