Adlink unveils ultra-efficient OSM-MTK510 computer module
ADLINK Technology has introduced its new OSM-MTK510 computer-on-module, noted for its high performance and ultra-low power consumption.
The newly launched OSM-MTK510 module is built to cater to intensive workloads while maintaining low power usage, utilising the MediaTek Genio 510 processor. This 662 BGA module features an OSM R1.1 Size-L configuration, supported by a 6-core CPU with 2 Arm Cortex-A78 cores for demanding tasks and 4 Arm Cortex-A55 cores for energy efficiency, consuming less than 5W. It incorporates the MediaTek DLA+VPU AI engine, delivering up to 3.2 TOPS for accelerated AI computations, facilitating real-time intelligent decision-making processes.
Part of the module's architecture includes an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) designed to enhance AI model inference and streamline machine learning activities with a high degree of efficiency. It is equipped with up to 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of eMMC, offering support for efficient data processing and reliable storage solutions.
Henri Parmentier, Senior Product Manager from ADLINK, highlighted the module's graphic capabilities, "You will never go wrong with its impressive graphics performance, offering 4K support and a variety of video output options, including HDMI/DP, eDP, and DSI." He further added, "It also integrates ISP cameras with 30MP resolution, perfect for machine learning tasks, vision systems, and real-time image processing. With 1x GbE, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, I2S audio codec interface, and 17x GPIOs, ensuring seamless portability into various applications."
The OSM-MTK510's robust design supports operation in extreme and high-vibration environments with a temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. It promises a 10-year product lifecycle, making it a suitable option for mission-critical embedded systems.
Belonging to the OSM form factor family, these compact computer-on-modules are engineered for BGA mini modules, compatible with both ARM and x86 designs. Measuring just 45mm x 45mm, the OSM Size-L modules provide substantial performance within a compact structure.
This module is pitched for handling computationally demanding tasks and is adaptable for real-time data processing, offering a blend of performance, efficiency, and adaptability.
