Aerohive snaps up cloud-based networking firm
Under terms of the deal, Aerohive will integrate Pareto’s routing, VPN and cloud services technology into Aerohive’s operating system (HiveOS) and cloud services platform (HiveManager Online) with new features and platforms to be delivered in Q2.
The solutions aim to address the cost, operational complexity and survivability requirements of today’s mid-size enterprises and highly distributed branch/teleworker networks.
Connector Systems has been distributing Aerohive through its resellers in New Zealand and Australia since 2009.
"This is an exciting acquisition for the channel because it means that resellers currently investigating the best way to support customers with multiple sites will now be able to offer a complete solution which combines VPN routing with local WLAN access,” Connector Business Consultant Terence Fleming told The Channel.
"It is particularly attractive to resellers because all of this will be able to be supported through the cloud by the reseller, who will thereby be able to provide a better quality of support to the end customer without having to have dedicated staff all over the country.”
Fleming says this is particularly relevant in New Zealand, where the majority of businesses are ‘small’ as defined in global terms. "But we have a geography which lends itself to companies requiring representation in multiple small offices across the country.”
Connector is looking to work with resellers who have been developing Pareto business in New Zealand already, as well as assisting Aerohive partners offer a site connectivity solution.
"Resellers who want to take advantage of this opportunity should contact us,” he said.
