Bugcrowd expands with global CREST accreditation achievement
Bugcrowd has achieved global CREST accreditation, enabling it to offer CREST-accredited penetration testing services in the United States, Australia, and Singapore.
Bugcrowd has expanded its services to include Australia and Singapore, bolstered by the acquisition of the Singapore Cybersecurity Agency (CSA) Penetration Testing License (PTL). This development follows Bugcrowd's CREST accreditation in the EMEA region in 2022.
CREST is an internationally recognised accreditation body that sets the benchmark for quality in the cybersecurity industry. Bugcrowd's global accreditation indicates that the company meets the industry's highest standards in technical proficiency, ethical practices, and quality assurance.
The global CREST accreditation assures Bugcrowd's clients that its services are delivered by qualified professionals adhering to industry best practices. This enhances trust and reliability in the company's penetration testing services.
With the addition of the Singapore CSA Penetration Testing License, Bugcrowd aims to support organisations in the U.S., Australia, and Singapore. This expansion allows Bugcrowd to meet regional compliance requirements, provide localised support, and enhance its global reach to support multinational clients consistently across different countries.
Julian Brownlow Davies, Global Vice President of Advanced Services at Bugcrowd, stated, "This global accreditation is a significant achievement for Bugcrowd. It not only validates the excellence of our penetration testing services but also reinforces our commitment to providing trusted and reliable cybersecurity solutions globally. We're excited to bring our unique, crowdsourced approach to more organisations around the world, helping them stay ahead of emerging threats."
Bugcrowd utilises a crowdsourced model for penetration testing, leveraging a global network of security researchers to identify vulnerabilities rapidly and efficiently. This model provides diverse expertise, rapid results, continuous engagement, and customised solutions tailored to specific client needs and risk profiles.
Bugcrowd's platform connects organisations with trusted security researchers and hackers to proactively defend against sophisticated threats. The company's approach has reportedly uncovered more high-impact vulnerabilities than traditional methods for over 1,200 customers, including notable organisations such as OpenAI, Google, T-Mobile, and the US Department of Defense.
Bugcrowd's solutions include penetration-testing-as-a-service, managed bug bounties, vulnerability disclosure programmes, and AI Safety and Security products. The platform has evolved to address a changing attack surface influenced by mobile infrastructure, hybrid work environments, APIs, crypto, cloud workloads, and AI.
