Chillisoft scoops global award
New Zealand's Chillisoft has taken out Eset's Master of Customer Loyalty 2012 award — claiming the prestigious global award for the second year in a row.
The award, presented at the Eset global partner conference, recognises Chillisoft as having the highest level of license renewals for Eset in the world.
Geoff Cossey, Chillisoft director, says he's 'chuffed' with the award. While he declined to comment on their renewal rate, he says 'it's a lot and it's going to be hard to improve on it'. "We had the highest renewal rate by a reasonable margin.
Cossey says the award is a reflection of the company's strong relationship with its resellers, which he deems 'critical' to the success.
"Ninety-five percent of our business is through the channel [Eset insists Chillisoft maintain an online shop as well] and we have 700 active resellers throughout the region." Chillisoft distributes Eset in New Zealand and across Oceania.
Cossey says the third Eset license ever sold in New Zealand by Chillisoft was to Flaxmere Primary School. The reseller who did the deal was Russ Olsen, now Chillisoft general manager 'and we just recently renewed that license for the eleventh year'.
Asked if he plans to claim the trifecta next year, Cossey says 'Of course!'
"We've been in business 15 years and are still learning new things. It's unlikely we'll find something revolutionary that we can improve on but certainly there are continual tweaks we can do.
"Some of the changes we make have limited value for us other than making it easier for our resellers. I know it's a cliché, but it's really important to listen to your customer.
