Cohesity & 11:11 launch cloud clean room for cyber recovery

Yesterday

Cohesity and 11:11 Systems have announced the general availability of a managed Clean Room Recovery service, 11:11 Cyber Recovery Platform for Cohesity, aimed at helping organisations respond to cyber incidents and restore operations.

Clean room recovery

The service enables organisations to create isolated, air-gapped environments on demand, which can be used by security responders for forensic investigation and analysis following a cyber incident. The solution brings together Cohesity's core clean room capabilities with 11:11 Systems' expertise in managed infrastructure and cyber incident recovery.

With the continued rise in global cyber-attacks, the need for a robust cyber resilience strategy has become a fundamental aspect of business operations. The new platform is designed to provide a secure, cloud-based space for organisations to identify clean copies of their data and restore operations in the aftermath of a breach.

Marc Beder, General Manager, APAC at 11:11 Systems, commented on the current threat environment for businesses in the region.

"With Australian and New Zealand business' facing an unprecedented number of cyber-attacks, it's essential that IT leaders have a range of tools at their disposal to not only prevent breaches but, be able to thoroughly investigate how attackers breached the security parameter, in the case of a successful attack. A managed recovery solution allows businesses to overcome common barriers such as cost or lack of in-house expertise, and helps our customers identify gaps in their cyber resilience strategies, preventing future breaches."

The cost and complexity of maintaining a dedicated clean room environment have typically required significant capital and operational investments, making such solutions unattainable for many organisations. As a result, some businesses have relied on manual processes, which can prolong downtime following a breach. 11:11 Cyber Recovery Platform for Cohesity addresses these challenges by delivering the clean room environment as a managed, cloud-based service, offered in a per-terabyte model and backed by a 100% uptime service level agreement.

Service features

The clean room recovery platform is delivered as a monthly recurring service, eliminating the need for upfront capital investment. The platform supports the full lifecycle of cyber incident response, from detection and isolation through to mitigation and restoration. According to the companies, incident response experts are available around the clock to support customers as they manage threats and work towards resuming normal operations.

The new offering builds on the existing partnership between Cohesity and 11:11 Systems, which also includes the 11:11 Cyber Vault and 11:11 Disaster Recovery (DRaaS) for Cohesity.

Vasu Murthy, Chief Product Officer at Cohesity, commented on the evolving threat landscape and the importance of industry partnerships.

"As the threat landscape continues to evolve, organisations need advanced tools and trusted partners to safeguard their operations," said Vasu Murthy, chief product officer, Cohesity. "At Cohesity, we're committed to meeting those needs both through continuing to offer new innovations in our data security platform and by creating new solutions with industry-leading partners. This solution reflects the next evolution of our partnership with 11:11 Systems. It extends our cyber resilience capabilities with a powerful, easy-to-deploy clean room that helps our customers practice and recover from cyber-attacks faster."

Justin Giardina, Chief Technology Officer at 11:11 Systems, described the collaboration as a way to bring advanced recovery capabilities to a broader range of enterprises.

"Combining our managed recovery expertise and purpose-built infrastructure with Cohesity's modern data security platform allows us to deliver a sophisticated yet accessible service for enterprise cyber incident recovery," said Justin Giardina, chief technology officer, 11:11 Systems. "Now we can enable true operational resilience for the modern enterprise without forcing customers to build it all in-house."
